“I was fascinated by Erich Neumann’s book ’The Great Mother; an Analyses of the Arche- type’. In the summer of ‘84, I went to Pilchuck with some cans of fingerpaint in my suitcase to work with a group of female students with body painting. I had no idea what the outcome would be.”
“The group started with some exercises with the body in focus. What about removing- not showing the faces? The students decided to put paper shopping bags over their heads and all of them started to paint each other. This experience was as exciting for me as for my students.”
