Ann Wolff – The Art of Living is the title of the exhibition organized during the period from February 15 to June 8, 2025 by the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis in collaboration with Ann Wolff and AWFG (Ann Wolff Foundation Gotland). With over 30 exhibited works, created primarily during the 21st century, the breadth of Ann Wolff’s artistry is highlighted. ASI displays sculptures in glass, bronze, nickel silver and aluminum, but also art on paper in charcoal and pastel. The exhibition has also borrowed sculptures in cast glass made by Ann Wolff from the Cafesjian Art Trust collection, Minnesota.
The thematically structured exhibition raises existential questions about identity, self-expression and the art of living – The Art of Living. Through works such as Trap, Golden Trap, Father and Stair House, questions about masculinity and femininity are raised. Works such as Des femmes, Little Red Riding and Hood focus on the role of woman and mother. Behind the Mask and Remember explore the self. The sculptures Feet and Nothing can bring thoughts of death, but also of life.
We are very much looking forward to this exhibition!
